Far Out was an incredibly fun commission project done for a cartoon pitch. The show focuses on the adventures of four characters as they try to escape a desolate earth. Conveying each character's relationships and personality through their design was a really fun challenge.
A big focus of the commission was hammering out individual character designs. From left to right, the characters are named Mara, Fyodor, Dasha, and Stephanie. Each character's personality is conveyed through design. Mara is young and naive, while her sister Dasha is more cynical and aggressive. Fyodor is an aspiring pilot, and more streetwise than the sisters. Stephanie is very experienced, and very protective of the others.
